As part of Lesfam CSR, we decided to support Abokobi Health Clinic on their annual project of cervical cancer awareness. It is a day dedicated to illuminating and educating people about the disease, as well as encouraging people, particularly women, to have regular checkups.Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that occurs in the cells of the cervix, the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina. Various strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV), a sexually transmitted infection, play a role in causing most cervical cancers.

The launch of Abokobi Cervical Cancer Awareness will be held at the premises of the Abokobi Health Clinic at Abokobi, Accra at 8am daily this January and screening starts in February.
