As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Lesfam has partnered with the Abokobi Health Clinic to support their annual Cervical Cancer Awareness project. This initiative is dedicated to educating the public about cervical cancer, emphasizing the importance of early detection and regular medical checkups, especially among women.

Cervical cancer occurs in the cells of the cervix—the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina. It is primarily caused by certain strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV), a sexually transmitted infection.

The launch of the Abokobi Cervical Cancer Awareness program will take place at the Abokobi Health Clinic premises in Accra at 8 a.m. daily this January, with screening sessions beginning in February.
